How Bluesage collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 25 September 2026

1. Who we are

Bluesage is the trading name of Bluesage Technology Solutions. In this policy, “Bluesage”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that company. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, email us at support@bluesagesol.com or use our contact page.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit bluesagesol.com, contact us or enquire about our services. When we provide IT, security, infrastructure or AI services to a client, any personal information we handle on that client’s behalf is covered by our contract with them, including any data processing terms, rather than by this policy.

3. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, company name, job title and anything you include in a message when you fill in our contact form, email us or meet with us.
  • Information collected automatically: when you browse our website, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the website that referred you and the date and time of your visit.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files placed on your device that make the website work and help us understand how it is used. See section 6 below.
  • Business contact information: details of people who work for our clients, suppliers and partners, which we need to manage those relationships.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as health data, and we ask that you do not send it to us through the website.

4. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and send you the quotes, proposals and information you ask for.
  • To provide, manage and support the services you buy from us.
  • To manage our relationship with you, including billing and account administration.
  • To keep our website and systems secure, including detecting and blocking spam, fraud and malicious activity.
  • To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
  • To send you news about our services where you have agreed to this. You can opt out at any time.
  • To meet our legal, regulatory and accounting obligations.

5. Our legal basis for using your information

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Contract: to take steps you ask for before entering into a contract, or to perform a contract with you.
  • Legitimate interests: to run and grow our business, respond to enquiries and keep our website and systems secure, where your rights do not override these interests.
  • Consent: for optional marketing messages and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: where we must keep or share information to comply with the law.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use it. The website is hosted on WordPress.com, which may set its own cookies to deliver, protect and measure the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the website may not work properly if you do.

7. Who we share your information with

We only share personal information when we need to, and we never sell it. We may share it with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host (WordPress.com, operated by Automattic), email and communication providers, spam-protection services and IT tools. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
  • Technology partners and vendors, where this is needed to deliver a service you have asked for, for example to register licences or raise support cases on your behalf.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and insurers.
  • Authorities and regulators, where the law requires it or where we need to protect our rights, property or safety.
  • A buyer or successor, if all or part of our business is sold or reorganised.

8. International transfers

Some of our service providers, including our website host, store or process information outside the country where you live, including in the United States. When this happens, we take steps to keep your information protected, such as relying on contractual safeguards recognised under applicable data protection law.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship, including messages sent through our contact form, are kept for 24 months from our last contact with you and then deleted. Client and supplier records are kept for the length of our relationship and for six years after it ends, so we can meet legal, tax and accounting requirements and deal with any questions or claims. If you ask us not to contact you again, we keep a short record of that request so we can respect it. When we no longer need information, we securely delete or anonymise it.

10. How we protect your information

Security is what we do. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption, access controls, multi-factor authentication, monitoring and staff training. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information and review our safeguards regularly.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information.
  • Ask us to transfer your information to another organisation.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email support@bluesagesol.com. We will respond as soon as we can and within the time the law requires. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the supervisory authority in your EU country. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

12. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Links to other websites

Our website may link to other websites, including those of our technology partners. We are not responsible for how they handle personal information, so please read their privacy policies.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
